Peersuasion provided Equinox Fitness with a unique way to increase club athletic memberships. By tapping into their existing customer database and providing a worthy incentive, Equinox enabled existing customers to do the leg-work and sign up new members on their behalf.

Results were even better than projected:

  • Open rates in excess of 55%
  • Open rates of forwarded offers were over 80%
  • Sales were more than double the target goal (205%)

Existing members would receive valuable gift cards for in-club services and products, while potential members received significant discounts on new memberships. The achieved its goals of finding new members during a downtime in the industry (late summer). Additionally, Equinox was able to identify its "influencer" members through Peersuasion's detailed tracking system.
