Case Study: Bombay Sapphire

Peersuasion worked with our sister-company Design Transmit to create a viral design application for Bombay Sapphire.

“As Expressed by You” put a new twist on well-known Bombay Sapphire print campaign, by allowing users to create their own designs through a non-technical Web-based interface. A Peersuasion layer added a powerful word-of-mouth mechanism, and the application quickly spread via word of mouth.

Users selected from a library of assets, including graphics, audio and video clips, to create a unique design. Completed designs could be saved, searched, or sent to friends via email.

With users spending upwards of twenty minutes per session, the campaign boasted unprecedented brand immersion, and generated strong results:

  • Over 240,000 glasses designed
  • Over 200,000 email addresses captured
  • Over 200 new glasses made each day
